The National Museum of the United States Army displays almost 2,000 artifacts spanning from the early colonial period and Revolutionary War through the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Historic vehicle and aviation artifacts, such as the M4E2A4 “Cobra King” Sherman Tank and Vietnam-era UH-1B Huey gunship, highlight the Museum’s
macro-artifact collection. Hundreds of additional artifacts—including small arms, edged weapons, uniforms, equipage, flags, medals, ephemera, documents, manuscripts, and photographs—bring to life 248 years of Army material culture and history.
